A boutique hideaway between cave and sea. Three minutes' walk to soft white sand. The quietest corner of Koh Phangan — far enough to disappear.
Thong Nai Pan Noi is on Koh Phangan's calm northeast coast — a single bay walled off by mountains and a protected national park. Three minutes' walk to soft white sand and water that hasn't been crowded yet. The hotel is tucked into the cave at the bay's edge — wide terraces, wood and local stone, a saltwater pool, and a cafe where the coffee comes slow on purpose. Not a destination you photograph and forget. A destination you return to.

"Our stay at Ozone Cave was a truly unique experience from start to finish. The room was perfectly equipped with an incredible view of the rocks. A special thanks to manager Banana. The breakfast was delicious. Absolutely recommendable!"
"The friendly staff, the location, the attention to details. Everything you could hope for in a small boutique hotel — and then some. We will be back."
"View, breakfast, actually everything. We didn't want to leave the room — and then we didn't want to leave the property. Honest, generous, beautiful."
"It's a wonderful experience. I will recommend it to my friends — to anyone who wants the calmer side of Koh Phangan without giving up design."
"It is excellent!!! The rocks, the cafe, the shuttle to the beach. Every detail thought through. Will return next year."
"Booked two nights, stayed five. The kind of place that resets you. The made-to-order breakfast alone is worth the trip."
The cave at the back of the site set the shape of everything. Rooms turn toward it. Terraces stretch the full width of the wall. The hotel was built around it — kept exactly where it was, asked to do nothing more than be itself.
The materials are local and unembellished: wood, stone, polished concrete. Cross-ventilation does the work of cooling. The waves, the hills, the grain of the sand — all of Koh Phangan has been redrawn in graphic form across the signage and the rooms. The island, set down in line and shadow.
In the early evening, the cicadas start, the bay stays quiet — Than Sadet's protected jungle just up the road — and the cave holds the last of the light. A place built slowly, in its own language.
Our cafe sits in the same building as the rooms, framed by the same rock face — a quiet place to start the day. Coffee, made-to-order breakfast pre-ordered the night before, and light bites through the afternoon.
Walk-ins welcome. For a full lunch or dinner, the bay has a handful of local restaurants we'll happily point you to — a few minutes on foot from the property.
Postcard-perfect: white sand, calm turquoise water, gentle slope into the bay. Often called the most beautiful beach on Koh Phangan. Three minutes' walk and our sunbeds are there waiting for you.
3 min walk · Sunbeds includedA short, steep jungle hike from Haad Khom — ropes are fixed on the steeper sections. From the top, the hidden turquoise crescent of Bottle Beach opens beneath you.
Best at golden hourThree royal waterfalls — Thong Nang, Saampon, and Deang — within walking distance of one another, all carved into Koh Phangan's largest national park. A swim under the lower fall is one of the best afternoons you'll have in Thailand.
3.5 km · National Park entryThe village is small enough to walk and big enough to bike. Cruise the back lanes, find the food trucks, follow the road past Tipi Cantina Bar (yes, it has its own waterfall). Bikes are free — keys at reception.
Always free for guestsThong Nai Pan is small but full of character — beachfront restaurants, local shops, and over in Thong Nai Pan Yai, 2C Bar: a multi-level treehouse-style spot with sea views, open daily into the evening. The kind of bay where you remember the waiter's name by your second visit.
Reachable on foot or by bikeOnce a month, the world arrives at Haad Rin for Koh Phangan's most famous night — fire dancers, neon paint, sunrise on the sand. We're 50 minutes by road on the calm side of the island: close enough to go, far enough to come back to silence. Transport on request.
Held monthly · 50 min by road
